Fees and sessions

At Oaks Day Nursery we strive to meet your individual requirements to suit both your child and your family needs. For standard attendance sessions, any combination of the following can be taken for 51 weeks of the year, excluding Bank Holidays and subject to availability.

Oaks Day Nursery Fee Structure Funded Entitlements and non-funded charges from

1 April 2025 – 31 August 2025

  • Children aged 2 years of working parents may qualify for up to 570 hours funding per year, subject to meeting certain eligibility criteria. From September 2025, working parents, if eligible will be entitled to 1,140 hours funding per year.

  • Families receiving additional forms of Government support may be eligible for their 2-year-old to receive up to 570 hours funding per year subject to meeting certain eligibility criteria. Please follow the link for further information Free for Two Scheme.

  • All children become eligible the term after their third birthday for up to 570 hours funding per year.

  • 3-4-year-olds of working parents may qualify for up to an additional 570-hour funding per year, subject to meeting certain eligibility criteria.

A child is entitled to Free Early Education at the start of the term after their second (if eligible), or third birthday in line with the Department for Education table below:

We ask for a £20 registration fee for children accessing paid for places.

2. For parents whose children are in receipt of Government funding, fully funded sessions are as below:

  • Up to 570 funded hours a year can be taken as follows:

    12 hours funding a week over 48 weeks*

    9am to 12pm – 3 hour funded session

    1pm to 4pm – 3 hour funded session

    A combination of any four sessions

    15 hours funding a week over 38 weeks

    9am to 12pm – 3 hour funded session

    1pm to 4pm – 3 hour funded session

    A combination of any five sessions

  • Up to 570 funded hours a year can be taken as follows:

    12 hours funding a week over 48 weeks*

    9am to 12pm – 3 hour funded session

    1pm to 4pm – 3 hour funded session

    A combination of any four sessions

    15 hours funding a week over 38 weeks

    9am to 12pm – 3 hour funded session

    1pm to 4pm – 3 hour funded session

    A combination of any five sessions

    24 hours funding a week over 48 weeks*

    9am to 3pm – 6 hour funded session

    A combination of any four days

    30 hours funding a week over 38 weeks

    9am to 3pm – 6 hour funded session

    Over five days

* please note this equates to 576/1152 hours and will be capped at 570/1140 hours. The remaining 6/12 hours will be charged at our normal hourly rate, or in your child’s 48th week you can remove them for these hours.

For parents accessing their entitlement over 48 weeks the three remaining days (till 31 August 2025) will be charged in line with our non-funded charges as above, or you may remove your child for these days.  Please see the nursery calendar for these days.

We ask for a £20 deposit for children accessing fully funded places. This deposit will be refunded at the end of the child’s first half term or within six weeks. This will be non-refundable if your child does not take up their place or leaves the setting before headcount week.

Children accessing a fully funded Free for Two place are not required to pay a deposit.

3. Combination sessions including funded and non-funded hours:

  • Short day 9am – 4pm

    6 hours funded + 1 hour childcare (£6.30) + snacks (£0.40) + hot lunch (£3.68) = £10.38

    If accessing 48-weeks any two days*

    If accessing 38-weeks any two days + one 3-hour am or pm sessions

  • Short day 9am – 4pm

    6 hours funded + 1 hour childcare (£5.78) + snacks (£0.40) + hot lunch (£3.68) = £9.86

    If accessing 48-weeks any two days*

    If accessing 38-weeks any two days + one 3-hour am or pm sessions

  • Short day 9am – 4pm

    6 hours funded + 1 hour childcare (£5.78) + snacks (£0.40) + hot lunch (£3.68) = £9.86

Optional extras, outside of funding entitlements:

 
 

If you would like your child to access early starts, late finishes, breakfast, AM snack, hot lunch, PM snack or a light tea then these charges will be applied to your invoice.

Alternatively, you can supply your own food in line with our healthy eating policy.

A parental contract will need to be signed, so that we are fully aware of the choices you have made, regarding additional paid for sessions and any food charges.
