Our Garden
At Oaks we have our doors open all morning and all afternoon. This allows the children a choice of playing indoors or outdoors. The garden is open in all weathers (with suitable risk assessment)
The outdoor environment provides a wealth of opportunities for children to explore. There is a giant sandpit where children can build sandcastles, dig for treasure, and also feel the sand in between their toes.
The quiet reading area is a calm and peaceful place. Children have a selection of books to choose from and can sit on comfy beans bags. Quite often the children will be laying on these looking up at the trees and listening to the different noises in the environment
The large, small world area is changed regularly, but a firm favourite with our children is the dinosaurs.
There is also a large mud kitchen area, quite often the children will be found making “mud pies” and other favourites
There is plenty of equipment for the children to explore including bikes, scooters, climbing tunnel and monkey bars.
